China Silver Group Expects First-Half Loss Amid Weak Silver Demand
China Silver Group Limited, a Hong Kong-listed company focused on silver product manufacturing, has warned of a significant decline in profitability for the first half of 2026. The company expects to swing to a net loss attributable to shareholders of between RMB15 million and RMB25 million, compared to a profit of about RMB54.9 million in the same period last year.
The main operational headwinds cited by management include weaker demand for silver across key applications and higher silver prices, which reduced sales of silver ingots in its Manufacturing segment. Additionally, share-based payment expenses and a loss on deemed disposal linked to its stake in Mount Everest Gold further pressured the bottom line.
Excluding these one-off charges, China Silver Group would have reported an underlying net profit of RMB66 million to RMB76 million for the period. The full interim results are due by the end of August 2026.
