China Sodium Bisulfide Prices Maintain Upward Momentum in June

Sodium bisulfide prices in China surged in June 2026 as tighter export availability and stronger downstream purchasing fueled market momentum. The upward trend was driven by environmental and safety inspections, reduced merchant flake availability, and limited export-grade supply.

Demand from key sectors such as mining, copper flotation, pulp and paper, and leather tanning remained supportive, with buyers increasing procurement ahead of planned maintenance activities. Lower bonded warehouse inventories compared to May encouraged sellers to strengthen offers despite stable feedstock conditions.

The Sodium bisulfide market also benefited from sustained reagent demand from Latin American mining operations and steady requirements from Southeast Asian pulp and paper mills. Although elemental sulphur and caustic soda costs remained relatively stable, supply constraints provided upward price support.
