CN Energy Group Brings Alberta Oil Well Online Amid US-Iran Tensions
CN Energy Group Inc., listed on Nasdaq under the ticker CNEY, has marked an important milestone in its North American energy strategy. The company has started oil production at a well located in the Cold Lake region of Alberta, one of Canada's major oil-producing areas.
The project is held through an investment made by CN Energy Group's wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, CNEY Canada Inc. The company is developing an integrated platform covering oil well investment, crude oil production, transportation, trading, and supply chain management, which it believes will expand its energy operations in North America.
According to interim Chief Executive Officer Mr. Wenhua Liu, the start of production at Cold Lake marks a crucial step in CN Energy Group's strategy to build a scalable energy investment platform in North America. The company aims to combine Canadian energy resources with institutional investment capital and experienced operating teams.
