CNG Price Hike: India's Transport Sector Feels Pinch of Rising Fuel Costs

Compressed natural gas (CNG) prices have increased by Rs 3.89 per kilogram in Delhi and several other cities, affecting auto-rickshaw drivers, app-based cab operators, and goods carriers who rely heavily on the fuel.

The revised price of CNG will be Rs 86.98 per kg in Delhi, Rs 95.59 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad, and Rs 92.01 per kg in Gurugram.

According to experts, declining APM gas availability, rising LNG prices, Qatar supply constraints, and rupee depreciation are driving up CNG costs.

Deepak Sidhu, an Ola cab driver, said the repeated increase in CNG prices is directly affecting his earnings. 'Every CNG hike directly affects our income,' he said.
