CNG Prices Hike by Rs. 3.89 per Kg in Delhi-NCR Amidst LNG Price Surge
Compressed natural gas (CNG) prices in Delhi-NCR have increased by Rs. 3.89 per kg, effective from August 29th. This move comes amidst a sharp rise in international liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices due to the ongoing Middle East conflict.
The revised CNG rates will see a hike of Rs. 86.98 per kg in Delhi, while Noida and Ghaziabad consumers will pay Rs. 95.59 per kg. Gurugram consumers will have to bear the highest price at Rs. 92.01 per kg.
The increase is attributed to higher international LNG prices, which account for a significant portion of the gas used for CNG in India. IGL stated that the price revision was necessary to partially offset the rise in input gas cost.
