Coimbatore Silver Rate Climbs Above National Average on Rising Industrial Demand
The current silver rate in Coimbatore on August 13 stands at Rs 2,600 per 10 gram. This is higher than the national average of around Rs 2,550 per 10 gram seen in major cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
This difference in pricing reflects variations in local dealer premiums, transport costs, and association fees across regions rather than any discrepancies in the underlying metal itself.
Silver prices have been steadily rising nationally, climbing by around 8.5% in a little over a week from Rs 2,350 on August 4 to Rs 2,550 by August 11 before stabilizing at the higher level.
The rate has since consolidated and is expected to be volatile due to its dual character - driven both by safe haven and industrial demand, with the latter making it more prone to sharp price swings.
