Commodity Prices See Mixed Results on August 14
The Chicago Board of Trade saw significant changes in commodity prices on August 14, 2026. Corn futures for September and December both rose by 11 cents to $4.59 and $4.83 per bushel respectively. Soybean futures also increased, with September up 10 cents at $11.76 and November rising 9 cents to $11.91.
Wheat futures saw a more substantial jump, with September prices increasing by 21 cents to $6.74 and December rising 20 cents to $6.89 per bushel. In contrast, Live Cattle Futures declined, with October down 127 dollars at $218.77 and December falling 120 dollars to $218.25. Feeder Cattle Futures also dropped, with September down 220 dollars at $335.00 and October decreasing 285 dollars to $325.95.
Grain prices from The Andersons at Blacks Lane were reported to be up 11 cents for 2026 Crop Corn at $6.23 per bushel, while 2027 Crop Corn was up 6 cents at $6.08. 2026 Crop Soybeans rose by 10 cents to $15.58 per bushel, with 2027 Crop Soybeans increasing by 3 cents to $14.92.
Soft White Winter Wheat from Snobelen Farms remained steady at $7.98 per bushel for 2026 but dropped a quarter of a cent in the following year to $8.48. Soft Red Winter Wheat rose by 22 cents to $8.00 per bushel in 2026 and another 18 cents in 2027 to reach $8.41.
The U-S CME price for Ontario Pork was reported at $95.80 per hundredweight, a decrease of $0.14 from the previous day's price. The 100% formula price also fell by $0.21 to $241.81 per hundred kilograms.
