ConocoPhillips' Coyote Project Delivers First Oil Ahead of Schedule
ConocoPhillips has achieved first oil production from its Coyote 3SX development on the North Slope, ahead of schedule and under budget. The $800 million project brought new production into the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System last Friday, August 7.
The company announced that Coyote is expected to reach a peak production rate of approximately 12,000 barrels of oil per day. ConocoPhillips President Erec Isaacson said, 'Coyote 3SX demonstrates our commitment to maximizing the value of our legacy assets while continuing to deliver safe, reliable domestic production.'
The project utilized existing infrastructure at the Kuparuk River Unit, enabling efficient online production. Additionally, ConocoPhillips installed pipeline capacity to accommodate rising Coyote production during 2026 and beyond.
