Copper billet enterprises are facing a challenging off-season due to sluggish orders from end-use industries, according to SMM. Despite no noticeable improvement in orders, enterprises have maintained a low-volume, on-demand restocking mode. The destocking pace for finished brass billet inventories has remained slow, with sample enterprises' days of finished product inventory standing at 5.04 days this week.

The continuous rise in copper prices has also impacted raw material costs for brass billet processing enterprises, causing corporate profits to be squeezed. As a result, production enthusiasm among most enterprises has been dampened.
