Copper Demand Fuels Freeport-McMoRan Stock Surge

Freeport-McMoRan Inc.'s stock has been on the rise, climbing by 7.93% in recent trading amid bullish sentiment on rising copper demand.

The boost is attributed to upgrades from several top analysts, including Wells Fargo, Barclays, and Argus, who have raised their price targets for the company's stock.

Wells Fargo upgraded Freeport-McMoRan to Overweight with a $70 target after a strong Q2 and solid Grasberg ramp-up despite weaker copper prices. Barclays lifted its target to $82, calling the recovery story on track and still underappreciated by the market. Argus raised its target to $78.

Goldman Sachs trimmed its target to $73 from $74 but kept a Buy rating as the broader analyst stance remains overweight.
