Copper prices fell in futures trade due to muted demand from consuming industries.
The price of copper for September delivery dropped 0.02 per cent in 1,443 lots to Rs 1,392.50 per kilogram.
Traders pointed out that subdued domestic demand weighed on the red metal prices in futures trade.
