Copper Futures Rise as Spot Demand Surges
Copper futures rose sharply on Monday due to higher spot demand.
The price of copper contracts for August delivery increased by Rs 7.35, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 1,372.85 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,464 lots on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Analysts attribute the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
