Copper Hits New High as Tariff Fears Ease
Copper prices have been fueled by tightening supplies and easing concerns about US interest-rate hikes.
The metal has traded in a narrow range after six straight weeks of gains, with its price reaching $14,000 a ton last week for the first time since late January.
This surge is attributed to a huge flow of metal to the US in anticipation of the White House announcing import tariffs, which has boosted London Metal Exchange prices by slashing availability elsewhere.
