Copper Hits Record High, Hindustan Copper Shares Soar Nearly 5%
Hindustan Copper shares surged nearly 5% on Tuesday as copper prices hit a record high due to tight supplies and US tariffs. The London Metal Exchange reported copper touching $14,617 per tonne for a fourth straight session.
Copper futures were up 0.5% at $14,581 per tonne as of 11:08 am in Singapore. This represents a more than 17% gain this year alone.
Geojit Financial Services retained its positive view on copper September futures. According to them, prices staying above Rs 1300 maintain the positive bias, with the downside turnaround point seen at Rs 1180.
