Copper One Drills Redonda Amid Rising Copper Demand
Copper One Resources Corp., a Canadian mining company, has started a fully funded 2,400-meter diamond drill program at its Redonda copper-molybdenum project in British Columbia. The program aims to expand and better define the property's large porphyry copper-molybdenum system.
Redonda covers 2746 hectares on West Redonda Island and has seen intermittent exploration since the late 1960s, including drilling by Teck Resources in 1979. Copper One secured full ownership of its flagship Majuba Hill project in Nevada for US$1.3 million, well below the original option terms.
The global copper supply is expected to face a projected 10-million-tonne deficit by 2040, driven by AI data centers and electrification demand. Copper One's dual-track approach, with parallel drilling at Redonda and Majuba Hill, can generate a steady flow of results for investors.
