Copper Price Rises on International Markets Amid DRC Production
The price of copper has risen by 0.51% on international markets, reaching $14,535.25 per tonne.
This increase is according to foreign trade price data released Monday, which compares the current price with that of the previous week.
Copper is one of the Democratic Republic of Congo's key export commodities, and a large share of minerals used in high-tech products come from this country.
The DRC is Africa's leading copper producer, with its mines producing 2.8 million tonnes in 2023, making it the world's second-largest copper-producing country.
