Copper Prices Drop Triggers Surge in Downstream Orders
Copper prices experienced a notable drop on September 10 during the night session, according to Shanghai Metals Market (SMM). As the absolute price center moved lower, previously suppressed rigid demand was released in a concentrated manner.
Downstream enterprises took advantage of this situation and placed price orders starting from the night session. Copper cathode rod enterprises reported a significant surge in new orders as a result.
To mitigate potential performance risks arising from clients failing to pick up goods on time, these enterprises set differentiated maximum price order volume caps for different clients.
