Copper Prices Retreat, Bare Bright Copper Remains Firm
Copper prices saw a significant pullback this week after reaching a high of $14,875/mt early in the week.
The London Metal Exchange (LME) copper price retreated to around $14,250/mt as the market digested the rapid rise in prices.
Bare bright copper, however, remained firm with its LME payable indicators generally stable this week.
No.1 and No.2 copper saw slight corrections after copper prices broke historical highs early in the week but failed to fully recover to previous highs as copper prices pulled back sharply towards the end of the week.
