Copper Prices Soar to Record High on Tariff Uncertainty

Copper prices have surged to an all-time high of $14,779 per metric ton on the London Metal Exchange, driven by uncertainty over President Donald Trump's import tariff policies.

The benchmark copper price has seen four consecutive sessions of gains, with analysts predicting that it could reach as high as $15,000 per metric ton this week.

This speculation is fueled by large volumes of copper flowing into US-approved warehouses, reducing inventories on the LME and in China.

According to Tom Price, analyst at Panmure Liberum, 'Will it get to $15,000 this week on Trump's tariff confusion? Sure, that's possible.'
