Copper Prices Surge to Record High Amid Global Supply Shortage
Copper prices have reached an all-time high of $14,802.5 per ton due to a global supply shortage.
The London Metal Exchange (LME) reported that copper prices have increased by about 25% since March, with supplies tightening outside the U.S. and large volumes flowing into the U.S. ahead of possible tariffs.
Market experts predict that copper prices could soon reach $15,000 per ton, but note that oil prices above $100 a barrel pose a risk to global demand.
