Copper Retreats From Record Highs Amid Global Growth Concerns
Copper prices have retreated from record highs after two sessions of all-time peaks due to concerns about global growth and demand.
The metal, however, remains near these high levels as tight supplies outside the United States continue to support its price.
LME copper slipped 0.5 percent to USD14,641 a metric ton on Wednesday after touching an all-time high of USD14,779 on Tuesday.
Ewa Manthey, commodities strategist at ING, said that investors are becoming more cautious about the macro outlook due to oil prices reaching six-week highs above USD100 a barrel.
