Copper Scrap Prices Unchanged Amid Global Supply Worries
Copper scrap prices remained stable during the August 7-13 period, supported by reliable supply flows and matched buying interest. The Scrap Monster Price Index reported no changes in copper scrap values, despite higher copper prices and tighter global supply.
Aluminum scrap prices, on the other hand, saw a decline, with most benchmark grades posting modest losses. Breakage 50% Recovery was the exception, gaining value during the week.
The market for brass and bronze scrap remained flat, with supply and demand in balance and trading activity limited. This kept major scrap categories from seeing notable shifts.
