Copper Slumps as Stronger Dollar Trumps Supply Worries
Copper prices dipped on Tuesday, weighed down by a stronger dollar and concerns about interest rates.
The benchmark three-month copper price on the London Metal Exchange (LME) fell 0.41% to $14,214 per metric ton as of 0301 GMT.
This decline comes despite fresh supply woes driven by stock withdrawal requests on the LME, which had stoked concerns about shortages.
However, a stronger dollar and worries about interest rates took precedence, with the dollar index rising 0.08%.
