Copper's Record Price Ignites Exploration Frenzy
Copper's surge to record price territory has investors flocking to exploration programs of copper juniors, where share price leverage can be extreme.
Kaoko Metals (ASX:KAO), a newly listed company, announced its first two drill holes at the Otniel prospect in Namibia returned thick intersections of visible copper mineralisation from shallow depths. The stock traded as high as $2.28 a share before settling back at $1.85 after the news.
Solstice Minerals (ASX:SLS) has become a 10-bagger thanks to drilling successes at its Nanadie copper-gold project in Western Australia, acquired for $1m cash and shares just over a year ago.
