Corinth Pipeworks Wins Major Contract for Greek Energy Infrastructure Project

Corinth Pipeworks has won a major contract from DESFA (Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator) to supply steel pipes for the 'Duplication of Karperi, Komotini High-Pressure Branch' project in Greece. The contract involves manufacturing and supplying over 200 km of 30-inch Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) linepipe, which will be used to develop a new parallel high-pressure transmission network.

The new pipeline system is designed to enhance the capacity, flexibility, and resilience of Greece's National Natural Gas Transmission System. Corinth Pipeworks' pipes will have external 3-layer polyethylene (3LPE) anti-corrosion coating and internal epoxy lining, making them hydrogen-ready for transportation of up to 100% pure hydrogen.

The 'Duplication of Karperi, Komotini High-Pressure Branch' project is a strategic infrastructure investment that aims to eliminate capacity constraints in the northern section of the National Natural Gas Transmission System, strengthen energy security, and support the growing energy needs of the region.
