Corn and Soybean Futures Surge as Wheat Remains Steady

The Chicago Board of Trade reported closing prices for Friday, August 21. Corn futures saw significant gains, with September up 4 at $4.83 and December up 4 at $5.08 per bushel.

Soybean futures also rose, with September increasing by 5 cents to $12.25 and November up 3 cents at $12.40 per bushel.

Wheat futures were less volatile, with September rising a quarter of a cent to $6.83 and December remaining steady at $7.00 per bushel.

Live cattle futures saw some decline, with October down 10 dollars at $217.90 and December up 10 dollars at $218.37 per hundredweight.

The Ontario Pork Reports noted that the U-S CME price was steady to the previous day at $93.85 per hundredweight for dressed weight.
