Corn Exports Boom as Soybeans Struggle
US corn exports are on a roll, with inspections reaching 1.9 million tons in the week ending August 13. This represents an 8.6% increase from the previous week and a staggering 81.7% jump from the same period last year.
The strong performance is part of a larger trend, with around 81 million tons of US corn inspected for export since the start of the 2025/26 marketing year. This is a 26.1% increase over the corresponding period of the previous season.
On the other hand, soybean exports are struggling, with inspections totaling just 270.2 thousand tons in the week ending August 13. This represents a 34% drop from the previous week and a 46.3% decline from the same period last year.
