Corn Futures Bounce Amid Mixed Export Data

Corn futures are trading with moderate gains at midday, reflecting a mixed picture for the commodity. In Friday's delivery reports, 35 contracts were issued against expiring September futures.

The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price rose by 2 cents to $4.86 3/4, as Monday morning's Export Inspections report showed corn shipments at 1.525 MMT (60.06 mbu) in the week of September 10 - down 8.91% from the previous week and 0.54% shy of last year's same-week numbers.

Mexico was the largest destination for corn, receiving 478,113 MT, followed by South Korea (275,525 MT) and Japan (207,502 MT). Marketing year shipments are at 2.174 MMT (85.57 mbu), slightly below last year's pace but ahead of APK-Inform's estimated 2026/27 crop size.
