Corn Futures Bounce Back on Strong Export Demand
Corn futures rebounded in early Friday trading after a decline on Thursday. The price increase ranged from 5 to 6 cents, following a 3-8 1/4 cent drop the previous day.
New-crop export sales reached 1.066 million metric tons (MMT) for the reported week, marking a marketing-year high, despite total 2026/27 commitments lagging last year by 33.6%.
The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price was $4.82, down 3 cents from Thursday's closing value, while nearby futures and new-crop cash values also weakened on the same day.
