Corn Futures Close Steady After Initial Weakness
Corn futures closed on Friday steady after initially being weak, but managed to pull back more than 8 cents from their lows in the front months.
The September contract was still up 19.5 cents for the week, with December up 20 cents higher.
The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price rose by a quarter cent to $4.34.
A look at the weather forecast shows less than 0.5 inches of precipitation expected across much of the Corn Belt in the next week, except for parts of Ohio where totals could reach up to an inch.
