Corn Futures Rally on Tuesday with Significant Gains Across Contracts
Corn futures are rising on Tuesday, marking significant gains across various contracts. The national average Cash Corn price has increased by 7 and three-quarters cents to $4.70 1/4. This upswing is attributed to the release of Weekly Crop Progress data, which showed that 86% of the US corn crop had entered the dough stage by August 23.
Additionally, the data revealed that 45% of the crop was dented and 6% was listed as mature. Condition ratings have declined by 3%, with 57% of the crop remaining in good to excellent condition according to the Brugler500 index, which fell by 5 points to 348.
The Brazilian corn acreage is estimated at 23.3 million hectares (57.58 million acres) for the 2026/27 season, representing a 3.1% increase from last year's figure if realized.
