Corn Futures Rise as Soybeans and Wheat Markets Swing

Closing markets on Thursday, August 20, revealed mixed results for various commodities. Corn futures rose at both September and December contracts, with September up 4 at $4.77 per bushel and December up 4 at $5.02.

Soybean futures were not as favorable, with November down 1 at $12.36 per bushel and January down a half at $12.50.

Wheat futures saw gains in both September and December contracts, with September up 2 at $6.82 per bushel and December up 2 at $6.99.

The Chicago Board of Trade also reported on live cattle futures, with October up 82 at $218.05 per hundredweight and December up 100 at $218.15.

Feeder cattle futures saw a mixed performance, with September down 12 at $329.00 but October up 77 at $322.82 per hundredweight.
