Corn futures rose on Wednesday after the release of the Crop Production report from NASS. The report showed that corn yield was at 180.7 bushels per acre, with planted acreage increased by 1.4 million acres and harvested acres up 1.2 million acres compared to June.

The report also indicated that production for 2025/26 was tallied at 16.013 billion bushels, which was 13 million bushels above the July WASDE number and nearly 80 million bushels above estimates.

According to WASDE data, ending stocks for 2025/26 were down 75 million bushels from last month on an increase to exports at 1.945 billion bushels. New crop stocks were pegged at 1.653 billion bushels due to the lower carryover and increased new crop export potential.
