Financial analyst Mike McGlone has made some notable observations about commodity trends. According to him, December corn futures saw a significant surge in August, rising by 15.9% - the largest advance for that month since 1980.

This growth puts it alongside other notable rallies near 13%, seen in 2011 and 2003. McGlone suggests that the $4 corn low in 2026 could represent an enduring floor for the commodity.
