Corn futures are maintaining their gains from Friday, but remain relatively weak among grains. The contracts have inched up fractionally by 4 cents. Wheat and soybean prices, however, have shown significant strength with wheat rising by 19 to 27 cents and beans rallying double digits.

The national average Cash Corn price has recovered by 1 1/4 cents to $4.83 1/2. The surge in prices of other grains is providing some spillover support for corn.

According to export sales data, corn commitments for the 2025/26 marketing year have reached 87.758 MMT, which is 102% of the USDA's export projection and in line with last year's sale pace. The marketing year concludes on Monday.

The accumulated sales new crop for 2026/27 were at 12.458 MMT, down 33.6% from the same week a year ago but still the 4th largest for the current week going back 30 years.
