Corn Prices Rise on Disappointing Yields

Corn prices have risen more than 3¢ this morning to $5.07 per bushel, according to Successful Farming's August 21, 2026 report.

The market has been influenced by reports of disappointing corn yields from the Pro Farmer Midwest crop tour, which is now over and no longer a major factor in price movements.

Arlan Suderman, chief commodities economist with StoneX, noted that sustaining this momentum will require fresh demand-side factors to drive prices higher.
