Corn, Soybean Futures See Profit-Taking Ahead of Weekend
Corn and soybean futures are seeing profit-taking ahead of the weekend on Friday, July 24, according to Farmer's Keeper Financial senior analyst John Zanker. December corn was down 7¾¢ at $4.79¾ per bushel, while November soybeans were down 1¼¢ at $12.42½ per bushel.
Wheat futures are carving out some gains, Zanker said, with September CBOT wheat down 33¾¢ at $6.62½ per bushel and September Kansas City wheat 33¾¢ weaker at $7.26 per bushel. October live cattle were up $1.55 at $222.92 per hundredweight (cwt), while September feeder cattle increased $4.47 at $344.32 per cwt.
Zanker predicted that the market might see some weather forecast adjustments over the weekend, which could impact prices on Monday.
