Corteva Unveils Long-Term Corn Pipeline with $2 Billion Revenue Target
Corteva has revealed its long-term corn pipeline for Vylor, its seed and genetics spin-off. The roadmap outlines seven technology platforms that will cover nearly 90% of Vylor's corn business by 2035.
The company aims to generate over $2 billion in additional revenue from these new technologies by the same year, including licensing fees. This could help offset pressure on Corteva's Crop Protection segment, which has been experiencing pricing difficulties.
Vylor's shift towards developing its own elite germplasm and using gene editing technology is expected to increase royalty income for Corteva. The company's current forecasts suggest revenue of $19.4 billion by 2029, with earnings increasing to $2.6 billion from $1.1 billion today.
