Costco Boosts Price of Kirkland Motor Oil Amid Global Supply Disruptions

Costco has raised the price of its Kirkland Signature full synthetic motor oil to $58 per 10-quart case, up from around $30 to $35 in recent years. The company is also limiting purchases to two cases per week.

The price increase comes as Brent crude oil prices have exceeded $109 a barrel and global supply disruptions have tightened the availability of Group III base oils used in motor oil production.

Rising oil prices are pushing up gasoline costs, with the national average price of regular gasoline reaching nearly $4.32 per gallon and diesel prices surpassing $6 a gallon on average.
