Costco Raises Motor Oil Price Amid Iran War Disruptions
Costco has raised the price of its Kirkland Signature full-synthetic motor oil nearly twice, from $30 to $58 for a two-pack of five-quart bottles.
The warehouse retailer has also implemented purchase limits, capping customer purchases at two boxes per week and one transaction per membership. Some Mobil 1 motor oil products are subject to similar restrictions.
This move comes as the Iran war continues to disrupt global energy supplies, causing a surge in crude oil prices. Brent crude climbed above $109 per barrel on Monday.
