Cotton Futures Rally Amid Mixed Market Conditions

Cotton futures are trading higher on Wednesday's midday session, with gains ranging from 99 to 130 points. This follows a mixed week for cotton prices, which have been influenced by various market factors.

The US dollar index has slipped $0.032, while crude oil is up $2.59 per barrel so far today. The Weekly Crop Progress data showed that 40% of the US cotton crop had bolls opening as of Sunday, with 7% already harvested. Condition ratings were down 5 percentage points to 34% good/excellent.

The Brugler500 index declined by another 6 points to 298, while Texas ratings dropped 8 points to 252 on the same index. The Seam reported sales of 632 bales at an average price of 76.26 cents/lb in Tuesday's sale. The Cotlook A index remained unchanged at 96.00.
