Cotton Futures Rally Continues Amid Global Market Shifts
Cotton futures continued their rally on Thursday, with prices increasing by as much as 89 points across most contracts.
This marks a significant jump from Wednesday's close, where futures were up 81 to 139 points in the green.
The US dollar index fell by 0.914 on Thursday, while crude oil prices dropped by just 50 cents per barrel.
The Export Sales data for the week of July 23 showed that 29,719 RB of cotton were sold for the 2025/26 marketing year, which is a marketing year low but consistent with recent trends.
Vietnam was the largest buyer, purchasing 245,500 RB, followed by India with 42,200 RB. Shipments totaled 233,795 RB, with Vietnam receiving 78,600 RB and Pakistan getting 49,400 RB.
