Cotton Futures Slip Amid Higher Crude Oil Prices
Cotton futures are trading lower on Monday morning, with losses ranging from 60 to 66 points so far. This comes as crude oil prices see a $3.44 per barrel increase and the US dollar index is up by $0.232.
The recent sale data from The Seam reports 246 bales sold on August 7 at an average price of 81.82 cents. The Cotlook A Index also saw a 20-point increase to 93.70 cents on the same date.
Certified cotton stocks remain steady, with a level of 84,632 bales reported by ICE on Friday.
