Croatia Fuel Prices Set to Soar as Iran Conflict Keeps Oil Markets Volatile
Croatian motorists are bracing for higher fuel prices as the ongoing conflict with Iran continues to rattle global energy markets.
The potential increases in diesel and petrol prices, starting from Tuesday, could be among the sharpest in recent months. According to unofficial calculations, Eurosuper 95 may rise by 11 cents per litre to €1.65, while Eurodiesel is expected to surge by 22 cents to €1.81 per litre.
The blue diesel, widely used in agriculture and fishing, could see the biggest increase at 24 cents to €1.26 per litre.
The timing of these price hikes couldn't be worse, as the Iran conflict has already pushed Brent crude prices up by 7.6% to $92.68 per barrel over the past week. The Strait of Hormuz, a crucial energy shipping route, has also seen a significant decline in traffic due to security concerns.
