Corn prices rose on Monday, August 24, 2026, following new production data from the Pro Farmer Crop Tour. The market saw gains in December corn futures, settling up 7¢ at $5.15½ per bushel.

In contrast, November soybeans dropped 15¼¢ to close at $12.24¼ per bushel. The crop tour's national yield estimate for corn was significantly lower than the most recent USDA estimate, driving early gains in the corn market.

The Pro Farmer Crop Tour projected a national corn yield of 173.2 bushels per acre, while the USDA estimated 180.7 bushels per acre. This discrepancy contributed to the increase in corn prices.
