Crude oil futures on India's Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) plummeted by 1.51% to Rs 7,837 per barrel on Tuesday, following losses in international markets.

The decline was driven by participants offloading their holdings due to weak demand in the physical market and softer global crude prices.

International benchmarks also faced pressure, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude trading 1.19% lower at USD 81.63 per barrel and Brent crude slipping 1.27% to USD 87.24 per barrel.
