$Crude Oil Futures Rebound as Iran Warns Against Asset Freeze Precedent
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that using frozen Iranian assets to cover future claims could set a dangerous global precedent.
In an apparent reference to the current impasse over Iran's frozen assets, Araghchi said this would undermine international law and create uncertainty for other countries.
The warning comes as tensions between Iran and the West remain high following the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal and subsequent re-imposition of sanctions on Tehran.
