Crude Oil Futures Rise on Increased Demand and Participant Bets
Crude oil futures rose in India as participants increased their positions following firm spot demand. Crude oil for September delivery traded higher by Rs 48 in 1,132 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in prices to increased bets by participants. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.62 per cent higher at $83.72 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.56 per cent to $89.41 per barrel in New York.
