Crude Oil Futures Surge 1.3% to Rs 8,255 Per Barrel Amid Global Trends
Crude oil futures rose on September 1, due to positive global trends. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for September delivery surged by Rs 106, or 1.3 per cent, to Rs 8,255 per barrel in a business turnover of 7,895 lots.
Analysts attributed this rise to increased bets from participants in the futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at USD 87.14 per barrel, up 1.61 per cent. Brent crude was also up 1.39 per cent at USD 91.75 per barrel in New York.
