Crude Oil Futures Surge as Global Prices Climb

Crude oil futures rose marginally on Tuesday amid positive global trends. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for August delivery increased by Rs 69 to Rs 8,132 per barrel in a business turnover of 8,535 lots. Analysts noted that rising bets from participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading at USD 84.14 per barrel, up 0.48 percent. Brent crude was also up 0.31 percent at USD 91.16 per barrel in New York.
